What a gorgeous weekend to go away with my hubbie. We went yardsaling, sat on the beach and walked the boardwalk for two days and then came home to my beautiful home and garden and BOYS!
Had a blast gardening and piddling around in the yard today. No humidity, a wonderful breeze and sunshine! Can't ask for more than that. One son was building a desk from pallets while the other son cut down a small weed tree in the backyard for me. I take great pride in having boys that enjoy creating and the outdoors as much as me.
I took a walk down the street for some old peastone rocks and continued my walkway. I'll take some pics when it gets looking better. Here's a pic I love from my beach weekend away. Have a great week!
A brave new day
I'm so not the type person that likes to try new things. But I did it. Today, I'm blogging! I'm excited and curious to see where this takes me as I have grown to love reading other's inspiration blogs.
There seems to come a time in our life when things take on a new perspective, when we slow down and really start to appreciate each new day, each blessing, each moment. I don't know whether this happens for everyone. For me, chronic illness made me slow down, open my eyes to others hardships, and grow to love life in the slow(er) lane. Being a type A personality, slowing me down was not an easy task but I'm getting there.
Hope you enjoy my blog!
